✓ Nature of the scheme: –
Under the Tribal Upgrading Scheme, to provide pucca houses with a floor area of 269.00 sq. ft. to the beneficiaries of Scheduled Tribes in the districts falling within the tribal area as well as to the eligible beneficiaries of Scheduled Tribes in the districts falling outside the tribal area.
✓ Beneficiary Eligibility: –
1. The beneficiary should belong to the Scheduled Tribe category in the state of Maharashtra.
2. The beneficiary should have resided in the state of Maharashtra for at least 15 years.
3. The beneficiary should have his own land or land given by the government.
4. The beneficiary should not have a permanent house of his own or that of his family.
5. Preference will be given to widows, abandoned, destitute, beneficiaries from remote areas.
6. The annual income limit of the applicant’s family is as follows:- a) Rural area – Rs. 1.00 lakh b) Municipal Council area – Rs. 1.50 lakh c) Municipal Corporation area – Rs. 2.00 lakh
✓ House price limit: –
The area-wise maximum expenditure limit for house construction is as follows: a) Rural general area: Rs. 1.32 lakhs For Naxal-affected and hilly areas: Rs. 1.42 lakhs b) Municipal Council area: Rs. 1.50 lakhs c) Municipal Corporation area: Rs. 2.00 lakhs

1. Two recent passport size photographs of the applicant
2. Caste certificate
3. Resident certificate 4. 7/12 transcript and Form 8-A
5. School leaving certificate/age certificate
6. Certificate of availability of seat
7. Certified income certificate from the Tehsildar
8. Documents as may be prescribed by the Government from time to time
9. Resolution of the Gram Sabha
